WEEK TWELVE RESULTS

WEEK TWELVE RESULTS

  • WEEK TWELVE WINNER:  Dan Kucab. Dan barely beat out Russ Knopp for the top spot.  After a tough mid-year stretch, Dan has since enjoyed a steady climb in the standings.  After week 6, he was in 150th.  He currently sits in 33rd.
  • It was a decent week for the group:  48.8% winning percentage.  The lock percentage was worse, as usual: 43.2%.  The group winning percentage has only been over 50% in 4 of the 12 weeks.
  • Only 14 points separate 2nd place from 6th place.
  • Derek Ridgway is leading the lock race, but several people are within striking distance.  The person with the worst lock record is 1-11, but I can’t remember his name.
  • Home teams covered the spread in only 6 of the 15 games.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Week 12 Quick Hits

College football man, college football.

As an Oklahoma State fan I’d told myself as long as we didn’t lose to Iowa State, I could handle losing to OU or Baylor. Well, that’s never as easy as I thought. Saturday’s game was brutal!

But, that leaves us with Bedlam. Both teams with 1 loss, both with a shot at the Big 12 title. But, somehow, only 1 has a chance at the College Football Playoffs. But this is college football as we know it. Should be fun, and as you’re curled up in the fetal position on Saturday night, lets remember it’s just a game. (I’m saying that for myself)

Now to the highlights.

Fred Ross one handed grab, literally makes Arkansas look like they’re standing still

The run was just as impressive as the catch

Alabama plays #8 Charleston Southern?

Charleston Southern has really slipped under the radar, but they’re a sleeper pick for the 4 team playoff. Continue reading

WEEK ELEVEN RESULTS

WEEK ELEVEN RESULTS

  • WEEK ELEVEN WINNER:  Cole Grinnell. Cole was one of three people to go 6-0.  He is the only weekly winner to have gone both 0-6 and 6-0 this year.
  • It was a good week for the group:  53.7% winning percentage.  The lock percentage was a little worse: 49.3%.
  • Oklahoma State and LSU were very popular picks, both teams failed to cover.
  • Russell Kent has opened up a 4 game lead over second place.  Impressive.
  • Three people are tied atop the lock standings with a 9-2 record.  Three people are tied for last with a 1-10 record.
  • The separation between 1st and 1oth place is the same as the separation between 10th and 118th.

Week 11 Quick Hits

The college football playoff rankings talk has heated up, and the treatment of the Big 12 and Pac 12 are firmly in the middle of the discussion. Should be a fun last few weeks!

Behind the back

Didn’t turn into anything but still cool.

Gary Pinkel had a crazy week and got emotional many times. From his retirement announcement to the players rallying around on the field, to his speech in the locker room.
