WEEK ELEVEN RESULTS

  • WEEK ELEVEN WINNER:  Elizabeth Kreeb.  For the second straight week, we only had one person go 6-0. This time, it was my sister. Last week, my brother-in-law. Something fishy is going on here.
  • The overall and lock winning percentages were bad again: 47.2% and 44.2%, respectively.
  • Despite a below average winning percentage, the average score was 60 points, thanks to OSU’s blowout win over TCU.
  • For the 6th time this year, the 0-6s outnumbered the 6-0s.
  • John Mellish held onto the top spot in the rankings. He only has a 17 point lead over 2nd and 3rd place, but he as an 87 point lead over 4th place.
  • The gap between 1st place and 10th place (122 points) is the same as the gap between 10th place and 129th!
  • Dusty Weatherly has a 10-0-1 lock record. Corey Vernon is right behind him at 9-1-1. Five others are 9-2.
  • We have 4 people in the Top Ten with a losing lock record.
  • Oklahoma was easily the most popular pick of the week: 173 picks overall, with 67 of those being locks. The 67 locks were double that of the next closest (OSU with 33 lock). OU lost the game outright.
  • Purdue was the 2nd most popular pick of the week and easily the most popular lock. They failed to cover the spread against Ohio State.
  • Only 26% of the locks went for the underdog. Of those, 27% went for Purdue.
  • For the first time since Week 5, we had a maximum bonus point game. Oklahoma State hammered TCU.
  • For only 2nd time this year, we had a week without a game that was worth 23 points.
  • The Washington State vs Oregon game ended in a push. It was the 4th occurrence of the year, and the first one since Week 5. Nine people have picked a side in each of the 4 games.
  • Not a single person locked either Maryland or Virginia. Wise decision. Neither one of them covered.
  • Home underdogs continued their winning ways. They went 5-3 this week.
  • Double-digit home favorites were 3-0-1.
  • In the bracket, Alan S was the lowest scoring participant to advance. He scored 35 points.
