WEEK NINE RESULTS

  • WEEK NINE WINNER:  Cass Meier. Cass beat out John Bizal and ADRIAN and made a giant leap from 186th place to 65th.
  • The group and lock winning percentages were pretty good again:  52.8% and 54.9%, respectively.
  • The average score was 66.8. We’ve now seen an average score of 60+ in 8 out of the 9 weeks!
  • For the 2nd time this year, the 75% majority went 5-1 ATS.
  • Oklahoma State was easily the most popular pick and the most popular lock. They got blasted by Kansas State.
  • The good news is that the next five most popular picks were all ATS winners.
  • The three most popular picks (Oklahoma State, TCU and Penn State) were all ATS winners.
  • After earning maximum bonus points last week, Texas Tech gave up maximum bonus points this week.
  • Oklahoma State and Cincinnati were the only two underdogs to receive a majority of the picks. They both failed to cover.
  • Three games were covered by half a point: Florida vs Georgia, Michigan vs MSU and A&M vs Mississippi.
  • There have been six games that have earned maximum bonus points this year: two involved Texas Tech and 3 have involved OSU and OU. The state schools were on the wrong side in each of the three.
  • Emily Owens took back the top spot on the leaderboard.
  • The leaderboard keeps getting a little tighter. 62 points separate 1st from 10th. It was 87 points after Week 5.
  • Carolyn Beins is a machine. Only once this year has she had a winning week. Her record of 15-38-1 would be good enough for first…if only…
  • And then there was one. Lee Bowen is the only person with a 9-0 lock record. Eight people are 8-1.
  • In the bracket, no #1 seed are still alive. Only two #2 seeds are alive, Hollywould and Lenora Gaston.
  • Drew Smith is the only #32 seed still alive.
